The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide

Tis the season… to give. Even though I strongly believe in the true spirit of Christmas (= quality time spent with the family, taking a minute to slow down and being thankful for everything we have), I am also someone who finds great joy in giving presents. Finding the perfect gift for people that make me happy all year long by simply being around me and part of my life literally makes me so happy. By no means, should the value of Christmas be defined by the amount of presents that pile up under the tree, but isn’t it also kind of magical to give someone you truly cherish something special?

Luckily, something special doesn’t always have to break the bank. It may be cliché, but it really is the thought that counts. One of my favorite presents that I ever received (from my best friend) was an old issue of Harper’s Bazaar, of which I pinned the cover on my inspirational board ages ago and wouldn’t stop obsessing over SJP in that stunning gown. It never even crossed my mind that the issue would still be available somewhere but she managed to hunt it down on Ebay – originally wrapped, might I add. You can only imagine my face when I opened the present, but what nobody saw was my heart that literally burst of joy. Not even so much of the cover, but because I knew how much thought she had put into finding the perfect gift for me.
