Flares & Denim
As much as I love evenings at home on the sofa (dress code: sweatpants), sometimes a girls night is just what is needed. The perfect excuse to put on some heels, go out for a nice dinner, enjoy a glass of wine (or two) and talk about men. Obviously.
Earlier this week, I met up with a good friend of mine for a much overdue night out. We met at the opening of an art gallery in the 4th district and then headed to dinner at our favorite Italien restaurant in town. Drinks at the bar first, then dinner & back to the bar for a night cap. We were back home by 10:30 pm though, so maybe the term “night out” was a slight exaggeration.
I love the idea of getting dressed up, but never want to feel too overdressed. That’s just not me. Which is why I opted for a pair of flares (actually, the only pair of flares I own) layered with a sheer dress (black is always a good idea) and an oversized denim jacket to break things up a bit. Some nice jewellery and a small bag instantly made the look evening-appropriate, if you ask me.
Styling tip: I never wear flares with flats. It simply does not work with my body type. And even if your legs are super long, if you ask me heels are always the better idea when it comes to styling flares.

das ist ein doppelter Armreif von Pierre Lang (so ein Konzept wie Tupperware nur für Schmuck) und den hab ich sicher schon 3 Jahre. Dazu trage ich ein dünnes Diamantenband von Wagner, das ist ganz aktuell 🙂

Momentan inspirierst du mich echt dazu, meine Jeansjacke mal wieder öfters zu tragen.

Ich muss gestehen, bei dir gefällt mir den Look von Kleider über Hose! Ich habe es als Teenage auch mal gewagt aber heute finde ich steht es mir nicht mehr so – aber ich finde auch man muss es richtig stylen können! Und btw, die Flarejeans stehen dir hervorragend aus!!!
