From Milano, with love…

M

ilan in September is nothing short of beautiful –  even despite the massive amount of people in the city enjoying the last bits of the Italian Summer. Even though Fashion Week can be stressful and hectic, I always manage to squeeze in a quick break to walk through the stunning Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II in the heart of the city, grab some gelato and soak up the late-summer sun.

On Friday morning, I arrived in Milan two days filled with shows, projects, presentations and meetings. First on the agenda was the AIGNER show at Palazzo Reale, right by the Duomo. For the occasion, I wore an Aigner bag from their current FW17 “Reset” collection. Genoveva is the name. Molto italiano, no? And since the golden bag was highlight enough by itself (quite literally), I decided to keep the rest of the look fairly simple. Flared, super dark jeans and an oversize sweater that I have more or less been living in this past week. In rainy Vienna it keeps me warm, in sunny Milan it is the perfect piece to allow you to skip the jacket at night when it cools down.

The Show: Under the motto “#AIGNERLOVE” the invite promised lots of color and love (obviously). The venue was stunning as always (it was my second time attending an Aigner show at Palazzo Reale) and the runway was studded with kisses. The SS18 collection is a pop of color in bright pink and red with a touch of cool black and white as well as some eye-catching bags that will instantly transform any outfit. My favorite? The new Jada Bag!
