OUTFIT: Parisian Style | Bikinis & Passports

OUTFIT: Le Marais.

When in Paris… it is time to bring out the Chanel slingback heels! It doesn’t get much more Parisienne than that in the shoe department, if you ask me, so of course I had to pack my beloved slingbacks for our quick trip to Paris last week. I totally splurged last year but am so glad to see that almost a year later they are nowhere out of style and I love them even more than when I first bought them. I think it is safe to call them an investment pieces at this point, right?

But back to Paris! After a super rainy first day in the city of love, we got lucky with lots of sunshine and spring-like temperatures on day 2. On the agenda was breakfast, followed by a stop at the #CartierRendezVous, lunch at Ober Mamma (soo good, you have to try the truffle pasta and Nutella pizza for dessert), a showroom visit with Alice McCall and an afternoon of walking through Le Marais, one of my all-time favorite neighborhoods in Paris!

Since we were traveling with carry-on only, I wanted to make sure that my planned outfit was suitable for all sorts of occasions. That’s why I decided to stick with some basics that always work. Comfortable mom jeans, a turtleneck sweater, leather jacket (the ultimate closet staple) and a slight French twist thanks to the Chanel slingback heels.

Fun fact: According to our iPhone tracker, we actually walked more than 8km that day. Just incase you were wondering how comfortable the slingbacks are … I am literally so impressed!

Even without traveling, I am usually well aware of how blessed I am to call a beautiful city like Vienna my home. It’s been a while since the last Sunday Cravings, but with my birthday coming up next weekend there are plenty of things I am currently craving! • OUTFIT: active wear.

One of the things I absolutely love about New York (and L.A. even more, actually) is how normal it is to walk around town in your active wear. When we were having lunch at byChloe in NYC two weeks ago, there were two girls sitting next to us who had obviously just finished a workout…

  • Travel Diary: Austria through the eyes of Mr. Bond

As of yesterday, Mr. Bond has officially conquered the movie theaters in Austria with his new movie “Spectre”. I have always loved the gadgets, perfect suits, the stunning women and the action. BUT I also love the James Bond movies for a different reason: The travels and locations. In Casino Royale I was enchanted by Venice, in Skyfall the Scottish countryside was mystical, impressive and scary all at the same time. This time around, Austria played a major role in the movie (18 minutes).

Lately, I have been really happy. I don’t know how else to put it. It is hard to find the exact reason or words to describe the feeling, but after a very travel-intense month in April with barely any time at home or with Mike (aka my rock), May has been such a welcome change…

  • denim on denim

When I listen to the storm, that is currently raging over most of Austria, blow outside, it is hard to believe that just a week ago I was wearing a denim jacket and slides on a perfectly sunny Autumn day. One for the books. The sun was still warm enough to sit outside with nothing…

  1. Vicky, das Outfit ist soo schön! (Dare I say perfect?) Wirklich toll.
