Once again, I am not the first to jump onto the bandwagon of a new trend. However, when I do, I am fully committed. For the past year, we have seen hair clips adorned with all sorts of pearls and crystals pop up in fashion. The kind that we all used to love when we were little girls and played dress-up. Turns out, the things we love as kids are just as fun when we fast forward a few years and are grown up.
Since the dress and heels I wore for my birthday party were “old” and recycled from previous festivities (I loved the dress so much and rather spent the money on the rest of the festivities), I did want to add something new and sparkly to the look. Hence, I decided to splurge on a Simone Rocha hair clip with pearls and crystals to dress up the otherwise simple black dress. What I thought would be way “too much” to wear on any other given day other than my birthday celebration, has turned out to be my go-to piece these past weeks.

The embellished hair clip trend is the perfect way to dress up a simple outfit, instantly turn a sleek ponytail into a look and a great alternative to big earrings or necklace. An embellished hair clip is a sparkly accessory that works wonders for a bland outfit or on a bad hair day. A quick, effortless and (usually) affordable way to create a more unique look. Turns out, it is also perfect for traveling, when you don’t want to bring too much jewellery but still want to look the part.
Since I received so many questions about the clip I wore on my birthday, I wanted to share a few of my favorite hair clips for every budget with you today. No matter if you are planning a fancy look, looking to add some sparkle to your every-day wardrobe or want a vacation-worthy hairdo (love those seashell options) – these are the hair clips I am loving right now.
Wow, das sieht ja wirklich megaschön aus! Tolle Bilder. <3

Hallo Vicky, wiedermal ganz toller Beitrag. Ich schau mir deine Bilder so gerne an. Welche Kamera benutzt du denn aktuell? Das würde mich wirklich interessieren… Liebe Grüße von Verena
Hallo liebe Verena,
ich verwende nachwievor die 6D von Canon – meistens mit einem Sigma 35mm F1.4 Objektiv oder dem Canon 50er F1.4 🙂
