Once again, I am not the first to jump onto the bandwagon of a new trend. However, when I do, I am fully committed. For the past year, we have seen hair clips adorned with all sorts of pearls and crystals pop up in fashion. The kind that we all used to love when we were little girls and played dress-up. Turns out, the things we love as kids are just as fun when we fast forward a few years and are grown up.
Since the dress and heels I wore for my birthday party were “old” and recycled from previous festivities (I loved the dress so much and rather spent the money on the rest of the festivities), I did want to add something new and sparkly to the look. Hence, I decided to splurge on a Simone Rocha hair clip with pearls and crystals to dress up the otherwise simple black dress. What I thought would be way “too much” to wear on any other given day other than my birthday celebration, has turned out to be my go-to piece these past weeks.
