VIENNA: girls night at The Guest House
Last night, we had our annual “secret santa girls night”. It’s not really a secret santa thing, since everyone receives a present from everyone … but I am highly against celebrating things ahead of time, so I refuse to call it “Christmas” before the 24th. For the past few weeks we’ve been trying new places for our girls nights and yesterday we decided to give the “Brasserie & Bakery” in the 1st district a try. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the boutique hotel “The Guest House Vienna” and the whole look reminded me of something you might see in New York City. We had a great evening, lots of yummy food (I can absolutely recommend the goat cheese starter … sooo dreamy!), good talks, and of course presents! It was the last time we’ll see eachother before the new year, but we already decided on brunch at The Guest House for our first meet-up in 2014, because as we were ordering dessert we noticed that they actually serve breakfast until 11pm, which is kind of amazing if you ask me 🙂 Do any of you guys celebrate Christmas with just your girlfriends? Meine Freundinnen und ich treffen uns auch jedes Jahr um unser nachträgliches Weihnachtsessen abzuhalten. Dieses Jahr musste wir es leider vorverschieben. Wir treffen uns immer bei einer Freundin, jeder bringt ein wenig Essen mit und alles wird aufgetischt. Bei leckerem Wein werden dann die Geschenke verteilt. Ein Weihnachtsessen mit den besten Freundinnen ist das Beste (nach dem Fest mit der Familie!)

Since me & my friends a have exams from the 6th of January it is not really time to celebrate because all we do is studying but you after our exams (beginning of February) we’ll def meet and maybe we can do an after-holiday party or something like that 😉

Wir Mädels treffen uns schon seit einigen Jahren abends am 23.12. und essen gemeinsam Raclette und tauschen dort auch unsere Geschenke aus. Wir warten damit meist bis nach Mitternacht, damit dann schon der 24. ist 😉
