TRAVELS: from Istanbul with love

Istanbul was simply WOW! I didn’t know what to expect, except lots of mosques and a huge bazaar. But we quickly discovered that there is so much more the city has to offer. Aside from the fact that it is ranked #4 most populated cities world wide (and trust me, you quickly notice), there are amazing restaurants, beautiful little back alleys, quirky cafés and friendly locals. We loved participating in a traditional Hamam ritual, eating lunch at the spice market and drinking Turkish tea at every corner. Istanbul is huge, it is busy, but it is also so impressive and beautiful – definitely worth a trip!

I have never been great at saying no, and when you’re self-employed, it becomes that much harder to pass up on certain opportunities. Especially because I love what I do and I love the brands I work with. However, I have noticed my energy fading towards the end of the year and think for my own sake, I need to…

One of my favorite aspects of traveling is that the more you explore, the more familiar the world starts to feel. Kathi recently put it into really good words during our trip to Israel with Farina & Riccardo (aka fabulous Ricci): “Before you travel to a certain place, it always feels like such an unknown, far away…

  1. Looks incredible! We were torn between Brussels and Istanbul for our summer vacation and ultimately booked Belgium. We’ll have to make Istanbul a priority next year!
