OUTFIT: blue lagoon.
It is Monday, 6pm and I just opened my laptop for the first time in 3 days. Literally minutes after writing this post on Saturday my nose started dripping and before I knew it, I was stuck in bed with the worst flu I’ve had in years. Even though I have done an exceptional job at staying offline (pat on the back) since getting sick, I did browse through my emails quickly today and discovered that the final images from our trip to Iceland with mybestbrands had arrived.
The Blue Lagoon (Icelandic: Bláa lónið) geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwestern Iceland. Bláa lónið is situated approximately 20 km (12 mi) from the Keflavík International Airport and 39 km (24 mi) from the capital city of Reykjavík, roughly a 20-minute drive from the airport and a 50-minute drive from Reykjavík.
The Icelandic landscape is one of the most breath taking things I have ever seen in my life. I feel like no matter where we drove, we found beauty. Giant waterfalls, impressive highlands that felt like we had landed on the moon, incredible hot springs, and of course the blue lagoon. It felt so surreal standing on the black rocks, dressed in a beautiful gown by Kaviar Gauche and the icy blue water as a backdrop.
Added some Thomas Sabo rings to my usual collection for the shoot.
