OUTFIT: a black & white love affair

The combination of black & white really doesn’t require much explaining. It works every time! Period. That is also why I decided to go with white for my first ever super silky Equipment blouse. As you guys know, I had been craving one for ages (seen HERE), and when I saw that one of my favorite online shops started selling the brand, I couldn’t resist any more. I thought about spending 200€ on a blouse for a long time, and yess, it is a ton. BUT I do not regret my decision one bit. I’ve been so good at not stopping by Zara, H&M or Mango “just to have a look around”, so I think every once in a while a little treat is totally ok. Plus, the chances of a classic white silk blouse ever going out of style are close to none, right? For the first look with my new blouse, I decided to go for a total black & white look, including a jacket by BA&SH that is seriously drool-worthy and my favorite ZARA loafers at the moment.

What do you wear to a rehearsal dinner? Well, considering the fact that there is no such thing as a rehearsal dinner with German weddings, I was pretty much clueless in regards to said question. Last weekend, one of my best friends since age 13 had her wedding in Temecula (Southern California) and in the process…

Do you guys know that special feeling of saving a dress or item for a certain occasion? Taking it out of the closet at regular intervals to try it on with different accessories, just to put it back into hiding a few minutes later. Well, that was definitely the case with this dress. I’ve had…

  • OUTFIT: lost & found

The weather this year has everyone confused. One day it is snowing, the next we wake up to 18°C (just like last Saturday) and blue skies. Feels like Spring – in January … The Friday before Christmas was one of those warm days, that decided to show up out of nowhere. Even though it didn’t…

A tone-in-tone color scheme is my personal way out of a rushed morning with “nothing to wear”. It works in all sorts of directions. Go with all black for a darker look that can easily be dressed up (a la “just add heels and red lips”) or with hues of beige or camel with golden…

  • OUTFIT: arriving in Madrid

Those that follow me on Instagram (@vickyheiler) probably saw that I was in Madrid these past 2 days for the #reimagine design challenge by C&A, in which 8 designers from 8 countries are participating – but more on that in the next post. For my flight I had to get up at 4:30, so comfort…

  2. The blazer/jacket is amazeballs. If I would not need a new winter coat at the moment I would give in to the cravings and buy both the blouse and the jacket right away. I love how you make the black and white look look so “young” – as I think it can quickly turn from looking sophisticated to looking “older than you actually are”. But with the skinny jeans and the loafers definitely a super nice combination – and perfect for a job interview as well 🙂

mir fehlt an diesem Outfit ein bissi a Farbtupfer, ansonsten richtig schön:))

  6. MASK-A-RAID on one side. On the other, FOOL. YOUR FRIENDS. I opened it and looked at the’ face inside. It was no one I knew. Which, I imagine, was the whole idea. A mask of pseudoflesh with operating instructions. How to stick it to my face. How to keep it in working order. How to feed it. Apparently it lived on chicken soup rich with nutrients. A can of soup and a funnel were included in the package.
