FOR THE HOME: black marble

After 10 weeks of patience, the newest addition to our home finally arrived yesterday and I couldn’t be happier! While I always loved our glass coffee table, I was slowly starting to feel a bit bored with all the light colors in our living room. White kitchen, white dining table, ghost chairs, a white rug, light gray couch and glass coffee table… That’s why I decided to order this black marble coffee table back in December to add a bit of a contrast to the living room. (Remember this post?)

As we all know, good things take time – and in this case “time” was 10 weeks – but the wait was so worth it and I couldn’t be happier with the way this corner of our apartment has turned out. Plus, I may or may not have also splurged on the smaller, square version of this table for our guest bathroom. When (or actually “if”), we ever find our dream home, I am sure there will be a huge living room and I’ll be able to place both of the tables there. Better be safe than sorry, right?

Our old coffee table already found a new home, but it won’t be picked up until Friday, which means half of the living room is not very presentable right now. That’s why today’s post is only a sneak peek of how things have turned out, but I think you can already get a pretty good idea of the look!

It’s no secret that I am a huge candle lover (remember this post?) and I always have some around. Whether it is the coffee table, nightstand or in the entry way. Candles smell amazing and are pretty eye-catchers as decorative objects. When I heard about candelabox, a candle subscription, my heart basically stopped! You can subscribe…
