BEAUTY TALK: fall favorites for the nails
No matter what time of the year, I am always a huge fan of dark nail polish. Not necessarily black, but deep reds are my thing! Those that know me, know that I am already on my 2nd bottle of Essie’s “Bahama Mama” … this year. Another definite favorite is “decadent dish”, a slightly sparkly brownish red and currently I am also loving “sabel collar” from the new winter 2013 collection. Just this week, I purchased “Soul Mate” which is a great alternative to “Bahama Mama”, just a bit darker. While I like alternating between nudes, light pink and reds during the summer, these past few weeks have been all about the darker shades. The 4 below are my fall favorites this year. What color are you currently wearing on your nails?
Ich habe “Trophy Wife” von Essie (der ist spacig blau) und dann noch so einen wassermelonenfarbenen von Essie, die Farben mag ich sehr gern. Nachdem ich aber immer zu ungeduldig bin beim Trocknen-lassen und auch immer irgendwelche wilden Sachen mache, sodass der Lack bald wieder absplittert, lackiere ich mir die Nägel eigentlich fast nie – ich hab noch NIE ein ganzes Fläschchen leer gemacht!

Ich liebe dunklen Nagellack ebefalls, aber mich nervt es immer uuunendlich ihn wieder ab zu bekommen und wenn er dann endlich entfernt ist, sind die Ränder der Nägel immer noch rot. Hast du einen Tipp oder einen speziellen Nagellack Entferner?

Hi Ronja,
also ich persönlich habe damit absolut gar keine Probleme. Ich verwende allerdings immer einen Unterlack, und dann kann ich dir diesen Express Remover von Maybelline total empfehlen. Das ist so ein Döschen mit Schwamm innen & man steckt die Finger einzeln rein. Das funktioniert bei mir SO gut, auch bei ganz dunklen oder Glitzerlacken!

I love “bahma mama” it look great on my toes even tho, now it’s fall/winter time nobody see my toes but I think I love seeing my feet clean & well polish w/ a nice color. I never saw “soul mate” before & I actually love it.
That soul mate looks amazing!!! Tomorrow I’m going to buy some early Christmas present and well, I think that nail polish is going to be the perfect little trat for myself! 😉

im Winter mag ich dunkle Rottöne auch sehr, im Sommer darf es ruhig ein bisschen heller sein. die Farbe “recessionista” von essie dürfte dir auch gefallen! sie ist ebenfalls ein bisschen dunkler als “Bahama Mama”
Die neue Winterkollektion von Essie ist echt der Hammer! Hab mir gerade selber den “shearling darling” gekauft!! Bin total begeistert!

I am (maybe coincidentally, maybe not) also very into dark reds atm, I just got a great one the other day by Maybelline (a bit cheaper!). You’ll have to let us know which of the reds looks best on!
