CRAVINGS: California Dreamin’

With just a little over 2 weeks to go until our trip to California, I am already excited beyond words. Not only is one of my best friends from middle and high school getting married, but we are also spending 12 days in the Californian sun – including Memorial Day in Palm Springs. I have been to Palm Springs a few times, but it seems only during Winter… What I didn’t realise while booking the trip, is that temperatures can rise up to around 40°C in the desert. All the more reason to shop for cute shorts and spend most of our time there sipping cocktails by the pool, right? That’s why I have been spending my Sunday putting together my dream Palm Springs outfit, including boho shorts, a simple white shirt with a twist (literally) and a pretty pair of slides.

  • J. Crew wrap top: I love this take on a classic white tee. I think it would also look great with a pair of mom jeans and espadrilles or sneakers! I actually just hit order – but psst, don’t tell anyone.
  • Saint Laurent College bag: My red Saint Laurent bag was one of my best buys last Summer. A perfect pop of red. And currently the brand has a ton of bags that are calling my name… love this blush pink one for warmer weather.
  • Ancient Greek Sandals velvet sandals: Simple black slide sandals will work with denim and a blouse for the office, but also a more relaxed beach look. Loving these and actually just tried to order them but the site wasn’t working. Technical problems are saving my credit card right now.

My best friend is getting married in August. And next to my own wedding one day, this will probably be the most important wedding I will ever be a part of. Aside from helping her plan the big day, getting 12 girls together for a very special bachelorette party and getting to stand by her side…

  • V for Valentine

I love Valentine’s Day. Not because everything turns pink and the flower stores make more money than on any other day the rest of the year, but because it is the day before my birthday. I have always found it incredibly convenient to have my birthday on the day after Valentine’s Day for multiple reasons….

  • CRAVINGS: summer neutrals

Even though June is just around the corner, the current weather in Vienna feels more like fall and I actually got my biker boots out again. BUT with this week’s Sunday Cravings I am staying optimistic that Mr. Summer will soon make an appearance! I’d love to wear this whole ensemble for work or an…

  • CRAVINGS: advent atmosphere

For the 2nd Advent Sunday, we decided to head home and spend some downtime with our families. Nothing beats a late Sunday breakfast with the loved ones, good coffee, waffles and chatting for hours. Just like every year, my mom has done an amazing job decorating the house and it made me regret not decorating…

  • CRAVINGS: wedding guest.

Ok, so wedding season is still a few months away, but since my best friend is getting married this year, it is a slightly more present topic of discussion. While she already has her outfit situation all figured out (meaning: we found THE dress), I am still on the hunt. Luckily, however, spring and summer…

  • CRAVINGS: shades of pink.

Although I wouldn’t necessarily see myself as someone who wears a lot of pink, an occasional touch of pink certainly doesn’t hurt. Especially if it is muted and could just as well get by as a neutral. Take my Valentino lock bag, for example. It may not be everyone’s first choice of color, but I’ve found it to work with literally almost every single look I’ve worn throughout the past year…
