OUTFIT: opal & rosé gold
I think jewellery should always have a special meaning or story behind it. My personal favorite pieces are items that are timeless, delicate simple yet at the same time something special. Most of the pieces were gifts from Mike and obviously all have a story to go with them. However, there are also a few pieces that I got myself. To mark a special time in my life – for example a little ring that will always remind me of my first quarter century alive, aka my 25th birthday. The focus of today’s outfit is the iconic Amulette de Cartier in opal with rosé gold.

The opal symbolizes a wish to find joy, be joyful and to spread joy. Personally, I like to think of myself as someone who can find joy in the smallest things, so the choice of which Amulette necklace was the best fit was easy! Aside from the fact that the color combination of the pink opal with the rosé gold is simply stunning, I also love the meaning behind it and instantly identified with the wish for joy. A bouquet of stunning peonies will make me happier than most materialistic things. And breakfast on our deck when those first Summer days roll around are pure joy and as cheesy as it sounds, I am convinced that a genuine smile is the best medicine for someone who is having a bad day. Combine the three and a happy day is guaranteed. Of course the Amulette de Cartier also comes in a lot of different color and material combinations, which allows it to be a lucky charm for everybody – no matter what personality or wishes you may have. Even though I picked the pink, I also love the mother of pearl which stands for safety (one of my biggest fears as a young girl was someone breaking into our family home) or the black onyx which is a symbol for strength and self-confidence…
