Rue Reaumur

I’ll take Paris any day – even if it is just for 15 hours en route to the next destination. And even more so when the sun is out and I get to spend the night in one of my favorite corners of the city. Already up in the air again (Corsica, coming for you!), I wanted to share today’s look with you. It combines two of my recent sale buys. Even though I didn’t do too much sale shopping this season, I did manage to score a few really good deals! Including this silky lavender-colored slip dress for under 30€ and the long lusted-after Saint Laurent sandals marked down 30% from their original price tag.

Saint Laurent Nu Pieds 05 velvet slip-on sandals: After splurging on the Hermes Oran sandals last summer, I came to realize that a timeless pair of sandals in cognac or black is the ultimate summer staple. I have been living in those sandals! That’s why a black pair was on the agenda for this season. First, I wanted to get another pair of the Oran sandals, but then fell for the Nu Pieds slides by Saint Laurent. They are classics, the black version being the most timeless of them all. With a constant eye on the sales and further markdowns, I suddenly spotted the black velvet sandals marked down. Of course, my size (39) was sold out. But 40 was still available. I figured I would have to send them back for sure but it was worth a try. Turns out that the fit like a gem, were comfortable from the first step and will probably become my go-to shoes for the summer. Happy end!
