CRAVINGS: Beauty Newbies
Do you guys currently have any beauty products on your wishlist? Is there anything that you’ve been drooling over for ages, but just can’t get yourself to spend the money? Well, welcome to the club! There are a few items, I’d love to try and possibly add to my daily routine. However, me and my skin are so picky when it comes to products, that I always have to think twice about giving something a try. For example, I once got an amazing concealer from Asia, put it on super excitedly and got a rash within hours. None-the-less, I wanted to share some of the things that are currently on my (beauty) wishlist with you guys today – maybe you’ve tried something and can help me make up my mind?
1. Lash Extensions: For months now, I’ve been contemplating about getting lash extensions. A friend of mine has them from xtreme lashes and they look absolutely incredible. Then Kathi also had them done a few weeks back and I was so jealous for her being able run out the house without even a hint of mascara in the morning. Now, I’ve heard both good and bad things about lash extensions and am super uncertain, especially because those pretty lashes come with quite the price tag…
2. JACKS Beauty Department Make-Up Brushes: While I am more than happy with my make-up brushes, I am in love (!!) with the look of the ones by JACKS Beauty Department. Ever since I first saw them “live” last Summer, they have been on my wishlist. I may just have to splurge on one or two for the prettiness-factor!
3. Skin Ceuticals “Phyto+”: A while ago, I had a facial done and the lady used a whole bunch of Skin Ceuticals products on me, one of them was Phyto+, which is designed to improve the overall health of the skin and the ingredients are delivered in a hyaluronic acid base, which it helps calm and improve the appearance of the skin. I am not sure if this was “the” product responsible for my glow afterwards, but I loved it! However, 80€ is LOTS of money to spend on a tiny serum, so I am still going back and forth on this one. Any thoughts?
4. Bobbi Brown “Brightening Finishing Powder”: Back in June, Kathi and I were lucky enough to attend a Bobbi Brown master class by Eduardo and he used the Brightening Finishing Powder on me. Ever since then, it has been on my wishlist and I finally hit purchase last week. So excited for it to arrive! Do any of you use this as a finishing powder for your daily make-up?
Lash extensions are seriously one of the best things ever,it’s so nice to wake up in the morning and look ready to do. I got mine done last summer and they lasted almost 6 weeks, depending on how good I took care of them. I was just too lazy to go to the refilling each time as it always took me two hours, but other than that I have nothing negative to report 🙂 My real lashes still looked like before and didn’t get damaged.
I currently have quite a bunch of make up stuff,mostly bobbi brown and tom ford, that I would love to try but my bad conscience won’t let me because of the price tags 😉

Die Sachen sehen wirklich interessant aus, besonders die LashExtensions würden auch mich interessieren. Wenn du sie ausprobierst, würde ich total gerne hören, was dazu sagst 🙂
Würdest du evt mal einen Post über deine absoluten Lieblings-beauty-basics machen? Ganz basic einfach deine Lieblingsmascara, Lippenstift und dein Lieblingsparfum..Natürlich ändern sich solche Dinge manchmal, aber bestimmt Favoriten zu denen du immer zurück gehst…

Even when my skin has been going through the most sensitive of phases, I was able to have lash extensions without any problems – well, a little eye watering at the end due to glue fumes, but that was just a few seconds. They look amazing, and are my most indulgent beauty treat. A set usually lasts about three weeks on me, although I had one set mostly stay in place for a month! Strangely, they are less expensive to have done in the UK compared to the US (the only thing that is!) so if you are travelling there any time soon, that might be the time to try them out!
Oh wow diese Pinsel sehen ja mal klasse aus! Ich bin zwar ein absoluter Make-up Newbie und habe genau 2 Pinsel *haha* aber diese sehen richtig toll aus.
Wenn du die Sachen mal ausprobiert dann würde ich mich über einen Beitrag freuen. Das hört sich ja alles super spannend an.

Bei mir ist es immer wieder der Chanel Lipgloss. Ich stehe oft vor dem Regal, doch dann gefallen mir die Farben nicht so, dass sie mir alltagstauglich genug scheinen. Und ich gehe wieder. Irgendwann ist DIE Farbe dabei und dann gönne ich mir einen. Klingt wie ein Eis nach einer Diät *lach*

ich war mit meinen Wimpernextensions super happy! Leider nur bis die dann abfielen und ich das Set nicht erneuern liess. Was mich persönlich gestört hat, ist das man das Set immer wieder nachfüllen muss damit es schön aussieht und seit ich die Extensions hatte, sind meine eigenen Wimpern nicht mehr so schön und wachsen viel kürzer nach als vorher. Aus diesem Grund habe ich es dann sein lassen, auch weil es mir fürs auffüllen (Kostenpunkt in der Schweiz um die CHF 100-150 /EUR 90-130) einfach viel zu teuer ist.

vor den Kosten beim Auffüllen hab ich auch bissi Angst … ich glaub es gefällt einem dann so gut, dass man’s immer wieder machen möchte. Aber da streikt dann irgendwann das Konto 🙂 Hab mir schon überlegt ob ich meinen geliebten Shellac dafür aufgebe und das Geld stattdessen mal für eine Weile für die Wimpern einsetze. Mal schauen 🙂

Ich habe auch seit ca. 2 Monaten eine Wimpernverlängerung und liiebe es einfach. Aber definitiv Suchtgefahr!
Beim ersten Mal habe ich sie erst nach 4 Wochen nachfüllen lassen, das war zu lang, da sie relativ verklebt waren und sie komplett rausgenommen werden mussten. Da konnte ich aber sehen, dass meine Wimpern keinen Schaden genommen haben, im Gegenteil, sie waren eher noch dichter. Jetzt lasse ich sie alle 2-3 Wochen auffüllen, werde es aber wahrscheinlich nur noch bis Oktober machen (Zeit und Geld :O..)
Mein geliebter Shellac ist dadurch auch schon kürzer getreten, weil wenn ich alle naslang ins Kosmetikstudio renne, Ärger von meinem Freund bekomme 😉
Über Lash Extensions denk’ ich auch schon länger nach, aber jetzt hab’ ich gehört, dass es die Wimpern wohl extrem schädigen soll und bin dementsprechend wieder mega unschlüssig.. fall’s du’s machst wär’s schon deine Erfahrungen mal zu hören:)
Und über das Serum: Ich persönlich bin bereit für Hautpflege, wenn ich merke sie tut mir wirklich gut, etwas mehr auszugeben (hol ich mir halt n paar Mal weniger im Monat den Starbucks-Chai).. liegt aber vielleicht auch dran, dass meine Haut mega sensibel ist. Ne Freundin von mir benutzt mehrere Produkte der Marke und ist schwer begeistert! 😉
