ASOS Beauty

When it comes to my skin, Summer is definitely my favorite time of the year. My freckles are more visible, the days of dry heating air are long gone and my skin feels a lot more comfortable. Which is also why Summer is the time of the year that I wear the least amount of make-up. Most days, a dash of concealer underneath the eyes and around the nose as well as a bit of blush or bronzer is all it takes to get ready. You know how they say, less is more!

However, when you skip the foundation for an even complexion and don’t add a lot of drama to the eyes, the skin is all the more in focus. Which I love. But it also requires some care-taking. And that’s what today’s beauty talk is all about. Great glowy skin, just a hint of coverage where it is needed and a bit of color on the cheeks.

Up until now, I thought brands like NARS, Nip+Fab or The Ordinary (new hype & brand to watch!) were things I could only bring back from travels. Turns out, ASOS Beauty has it all. I had the chance to browse their selection of beauty products recently and a whole bunch of oldies, goldies & newbies ended up in the shopping cart – including my beloved NARS concealer (in “custard”), the famous “orgasm” blush, a bit of hyaluronic acid (you guys know it’s my biggest weakness) and some Nip+Fab goodies.
By the way: ASOS Beauty also carries my ghd creative curl wand, which is the curling iron I always use to get those loose waves.

  • BEAUTY TALK: red lips for NYE.

Red is certainly not a color that you’d associate with me and my style. I rarely wear red (except one time last Summer) and usually prefer more muted shades for my lips. New Year’s Eve, however, is all about that midnight kiss, and even though red lips certainly aren’t the most convenient thing when it comes to kissing, I think that December 31st is the one day a year that red lips should be on everyone’s agenda…

I am not typically a person who actually reads cookbooks. I buy them according to recommendations and then occasionally flip through them when I am in the mood to try a new recipe. Summer does not only bring a change in wardrobe, it also delivers a subtle adjustment in my go-to beauty products. • BEAUTY TALK: so shiny

During the Winter I generally have a harder time with my skin, nails and hair. The dry heating air seems to literally make my skin crackle, my nails break at every occasion (that’s why I currently even have a thin layer of gel over my regular nails) and my hair, which is usually super easy…
