VIENNA: Saturdays at the Prater

On Friday, we celebrated the birthday of my favorite guy. As birthdays tend to have a way of being lots of fun, they also come with a big portion of too little sleep. So, our Saturday was all the lazier. We ran a few errands, cleaned up the leftovers from the party and then headed to Vienna’s Prater (kind of like a mix of an amusement park & a fair) for an early dinner. Mike decided to introduce me to my first ever “Stelze” (roasted pork knuckle … definitely sounds a lot better in German) at Schweizerhaus. I usually don’t eat pork, but paired with a Radler (a mix of beer & lemonade) and a bit of a hangover it was a pretty awesome dinner. Sometimes playing tourist in your own city can be really fun!
