The older I get, the more I understand why jewels and watches have such a special standing in our society. Why they are usually the pieces we receive as gifts for special occasions and celebrations in life. While I love clothes, jewelry is definitely a more timeless choice when it comes to fashion. And when I think about the jewelry that I wear on a daily basis and love, there is a story behind every single piece.

Last Thursday, the Grand Opening of the Wempe boutique on Maximilianstrasse took place, and I had the pleasure of attending the event. Aside from the fact that I couldn’t stop drooling over the sparkly pieces and watches at the store, I also had an enchanting Cinderella moment of my own. For the night, I got to wear real diamonds (the color: cinnamon). I am not sure why, but the second I put on the stunning earrings and artfully crafted ring, I instantly walked a bit taller and felt more elegant.

You know what they say: Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!

Especially when it comes to dressing up for special occasions.

Munich, February 23, 2017 – In the elegant setting of the historic Maximilian Arcades in Munich, the grand opening of the spectacular new Wempe branch was celebrated. After a 12-month construction period, the spectacular new Wempe branch at Maximilianstrasse 6, opposite the Bayerische Staatsoper, is now completed.
On a total of 1,349 square meters of retail space, Wempe offers 24 brands of the finest German and Swiss watch manufactures. For some of these brands, Wempe is the exclusive retailer in Germany. The second floor houses the Rolex Boutique, the Patek Philippe Corner, the brand world of Jaeger-LeCoultre, and the Espace Cartier. The restored vaulted passage underneath the arcades is the setting of Wempe’s presentation of its selection of clocks and watch winders. Eleven discreetly elegant retail centers distributed throughout all the floors offer customers the opportunity to choose items from the exquisite range of watches and the unique selection of jewelry from the Wempe Atelier.
