CRAVINGS: searching for the perfect winter boots
Come Winter, I feel like I am living a déjà vu year after year. It gets cold outside and I am left with a closet full of espadrilles and sneakers, but nothing warm to wear. Finding the perfect winter boots is like mission impossible for me personally! I wish overknees looked good on me, but they don’t. I wish I had the perfect riding boots, but I don’t. I love my Nowles, but can’t wear them every day and moonboots don’t really work for the city. Of course, once again I waited way too long and now all of the stores are already sold out here in Vienna. This week, I am definitely craving a pair of great winter boots, meaning: if you have any recommendations or thoughts on my selection, please let me know!

- ASOS suede boots with buckles: I can’t decide whether or not I absolutely love the buckles on these or if they’re way too much. The boots would be great for casual looks, especially with leggings and oversize sweaters at the office.
- Isabel Marant “chess” leather boots: These have been on my wishlist for a while now, and I think I may have to splurge sooner or later. With a classy, timeless look, these will probably be great for various occasions.
- Isabel Marant “nowles” shearling boots: These little guys in black were one of the best investments last year and I wore them almost daily. Not to mention that they are super comfortable and warm. My heart says yes, my mind says no!
- Fendi lace-up ankle boots: Personally, I love these since they are very different from everything else I own. However, I am not sure if they will be warm enough, and since I can’t find a picture that features the sole, I have no idea if it has good grip or is too slippery for the snow.
Which of these boots do you guys like the best? Do you have other options that I should look at? I would love to know – simply leave a comment below!

ich hab mir als erstes deine Collage angschaut und mir sind SOFORT die Asos suede boots ins Auge gesprungen(!). Die rufen ja förmlich nach dir 😉 Ich find sie auch nicht “way too much” sondern absolutely perfect 😀
Sie erinnern mich irgendwie total an die ‘frühere’ Vicky. Klar, dein Stil hat sich bisschen geändert (ist in meinen Augen etwas eleganter geworden), aber ‘edgy’ ist er dennoch und das sind die Boots auch.
Aber wie sie angezogen aussehen ist natürlich ein anderes Thema 😉
Mich hast du mit den Boots zumindest überzeugt und ich werd sie jetzt wohl oder übel selbst bestellen (müssn) 😉

I have recently bought the Sorel Tivoli in grey (there are other colours, but grey is my fave)and I love them. They are quite discreet, super warm and comfy!

The Nowles are also on my wishlist,I think they look so cute and if they keep the feet nice and warm then they’re an even better buy 🙂
The black boots from Asos totally remind me of the Vivienne Westwood Pirate boots and I think they look fantastic with a pair of simple skinny jeans 🙂
