Hey Faye
A backpack has been on my personal wishlist all year. Originally, I wanted something that would fit my laptop for work and travels, but quickly came to realise that finding a backpack big enough for my Macbook was not an easy task. After a failed attempt (I ordered this backpack a few months ago but it looked terribly stuffed with the laptop and wouldn’t even close properly), I had almost given up on the idea of owning a stylish backpack any time soon. Then, Chloé launched the Faye backpack and it was love at first sight. But my brain (and bank account) kept telling me “No!” because it simply wouldn’t be a smart investment if it didn’t even fit the laptop…
Fast forward to the weekend before our trip to Australia, and all of a sudden all rationality flew out the window when I hit “buy” on the Chloé Faye backpack in a panicked frenzy in order for it to arrive before take-off. While I knew I was going to like it, I had no idea how much I would actually love (and use!) the backpack. To phrase it very dramatically, I can’t imagine a life before the backpack anymore.
All jokes aside though, it really is the best travel buddy ever (if you ignore the fact that it will not fit a laptop). Carrying a backpack is SO much better, more comfortable and more practicable than a purse. It fits my DSLR camera, including the larger lens I use for traveling, a passport, wallet, lipbalm, sunscreen and sunglasses. And that’s all you need in life anyway, right?
Bonus material: The Chloé Faye backpack actually has a shoulder strap as well, so you can double it as a purse for nice dinners or in areas that are not as safe and you want your belongings tucked away under your arm rather than displayed as a self-serve bar on your back.
Love this one! It really is beautiful. I’ve been on the fence about backpacks for such a long time, especially because they just remind me so much of going to school.. And I don’t know if they work with puffy winter coats? Out of curiosity – how DID you take your laptop with you? Did you end up taking a second bag or a small suitcase as hand luggage?

Ohh der Rucksack ist echt einfach der Hammer. Am Anfang hatte ich ja noch die Hoffnung da würde wirklich der Laptop rein passen – das wäre natürlich dann absolut genial. Aber auch so ist er sicher ein toller Reise-Begleiter.

Der Rucksack ist wirkliche ein Traum, vor allem weil man ihn durch den zusätzlichen Strap noch als normale “Tasche” nutzen kann, das rechtfertigt dann doch wieder die Kaufentscheidung zusätzlich 🙂

Tolle Fotos! Den gleichen Rucksack hätte ich auch fast gekauft, bin aber schon bei einem anderen Angebot schwach geworden zum Black Friday. Also hoffe ich, dass er nicht aus dem Programm fliegt und in ein paar Monaten noch erhältlich ist!

Hi, Vicky! Der Rucksack ist wunderschön und passt perfekt zu dir, tolle Fotos! Du hast ihn ja jetzt schon einige Zeit in Verwendung: Wie ist das mit der Farbe? Sehr empfindlich? Ich möchte mir auch sehr gern diesen Rucksack kaufen, bin mir aber bei der Farbe nicht sicher. Würd mich freuen, wenn du da deine Erfahrung mit mir/uns teilst!

danke dir für den lieben Kommentar. Ich LIEBE den Rucksack (auch im Alltag als Handtasche) und habe ihn wirklich viel in Verwendung. Das Wildleder ist aber leider wirklich ein bisschen empfindlich – vor allem wenn man ihn viel als Tasche unterm Arm trägt. Trotzdem war es eine super Investition für mich und bin total happy damit!

lange habe ich nach einen Blog zum Faye Rucksack gesucht und endlich gefunden! Toller Artikel und tolle Fotos, danke für deinen Bericht! Ich finde ihn ja auch wunderschön und auch gerade die Farbe, die du dir ausgesucht hast und bin am überlegen, ihn mir auch zu kaufen… Ich würde ihn glaube ich nur fast noch öfters gern nur mit dem zusätzlichen Strap tragen. Angeblich sind die Schulterriemen ja abnehmbar – hast du das schon einmal probiert? Mit den zwei Schlaufen dran kann ich mir das nur kompliziert vorstellen…. ? Dann wäre er aber Rucksack und Beutel-Bag zugleich;) Was meinst du? Liebe Grüße und schönen Samstag, Sarah
