Gift Guide: For The Traveling Soul | Bikinis & Passports

GIFT GUIDE: for the traveling soul.

After sharing my gift ideas for the perfect holiday sparkles last Sunday, I prepared a little something for all those traveling souls today. If your friends (or you) are anything like me, traveling is the biggest luxury. There is something so magical about exploring new destinations, chasing the sun and warmth during Winter, tasting foreign cuisines or learning about different cultures. Of course, traveling in style makes it even more fun, which is why I have picked out a few must-haves for everyone that loves to travel. A pretty passport cover, the perfect make-up bag for an uncomplicated security check or a beauty product that’ll save your chapped lips during long-haul flights… Whether you love to travel alone or have a trip planned with a best friend or loved one – this is the gift guide for you!

  • Fossil luggage tag: There are not many ways to pimp your suitcase, but a pretty luggage tag is definitely the best place to start – other than collecting stickers from various destinations. I love this one by Fossil with a pop of color!
  • Essie “meet me at sunset” nail polish: If you’re planning a trip with your best friends for 2016, this coral red nail polish would be the perfect reminder for a fun Christmas present. “Meet me at sunset” … where ever that may be!
  • Kate Spade passport cover: One of the best presents I ever received was a bright pink passport cover from J.Crew, it joins me on all of my travels (and is most definitely Insta-worthy). As the cover reads, it’ll have you ready for departure!
  • Claudia May travel bag: I received this bag as a gift on a trip to Marrakech in May, and I am literally obsessed with it (I have the green version). It complies with the European Safety Norm for Air Travel, and is ideal for all allowed liquids in your carry-on. If you know someone who travels a lot – they will LOVE this! I’ve made it my cosmetic pouch, so when I travel I don’t have to switch things around.
  • Kiehl’s eucalyptus lip relief: I’ve been a fan of the Kiehl’s lip balm for year, and this one takes it to the next level. With the cooling sensation of eucalyptus and the perfect amount of hydration, this one will keep your lips smooth as can be, even during a long-haul flight!
  • Fossil playing cards: For long stopovers – especially when traveling with friends – a set of playing cards is always a great idea. I recently spotted these at a Fossil counter at an airport and wish I would have gotten them. For the holidays at home with the family a daily card game is always on the agenda. Accompanied by lots of cookies and dad’s coffee, of course!

  • Soho Beach House

Ever since our first stay at the Soho House Berlin, I’ve fallen head over heels for it. It is a strange feeling of “coming home” to a place that is not actually home. I am pretty convinced it is the interior that sparked my love for the hotel, or possibly the most perfect poached eggs…

Berlin and I didn’t always have the best relationship. It took me a while to fall for the city and all it has to offer (especially when it comes to food). But once you find your way around town and get to know certain areas, it’s hard not to develop a sincere appreciation for the…

  • OUTFIT: in SEASON.

After 3, 4 or even 5 visits to Paris, most of the touristy stops have been covered. I’ve been to the Tour Eiffel multiple times, stopped by the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa, walked on the crowded Champs-Élysées, seen the Arc de Triomphe and much more. That’s why, this time around, I wanted to spend…
