OUTFIT: reformation Lucia Skirt | Bikinis & Passports

house hunting in 90210

When I was younger – growing up in Southern California – driving up to L.A. was always a highlight. It was usually connected with some sort of weekend activities and my parents would take the time to drive through Beverly Hills with us kids to go “house hunting”. From my memories, I always loved driving through the quiet neighborhood just off of Santa Monica Blvd and in close proximity to the famous Rodeo Drive, drooling over all those fancy homes that seemed more like castles than houses.

With hopes of bringing back those childhood memories, I convinced Mike to drive through the neighborhood that comes with the well-known area code of 90210 one afternoon. And while the mansions were still stunning (obviously), they did seem a bit smaller than I remembered. This time around, I was more impressed with the perfectly groomed streets lined with picture-perfect palm trees that made for the ideal backdrop to capture my outfit for you guys. Big houses are amazing, but palm trees and the ocean make my heart skip a beat nowadays.

Why is it, that every time I finally decide that I want something and am actually ready to spend the money, it is too late? Maybe it’s the whole concept of wanting something that we can’t have. The Superga MACRAMEW lace sneakers definitely fall into this category. At first I wasn’t sure if they would work for…

  • Soho

Last week’s warm weather in the city in combination with dinner at Catch NYC, followed by drinks at Soho House was the perfect excuse to finally wear my new top – in Soho, of course. Originally, I purchased it with a destination like Ibiza or the Maldives in mind, but turns out it also works…

One of my favorite aspects of traveling is that the more you explore, the more familiar the world starts to feel. Kathi recently put it into really good words during our trip to Israel with Farina & Riccardo (aka fabulous Ricci): “Before you travel to a certain place, it always feels like such an unknown, far away…

  • Be mine, Mr. Valentine!

In the 8 years that Mike and I have been together, we have never celebrated Valentine’s Day. Why? Certainly not because we don’t love each other, but rather because my birthday has always been the next day – and that probably won’t change anytime soon. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, it is all…
