HUE Leggings - Bikinis & Passports

CRAVINGS: legging love

Even though we’re currently blessed with quite a bit of sunshine here in Vienna, you can tell it is definitely Fall. Once the sun disappears, it quickly cools down and gets super chilly. My must-have piece for those days is a good pair of leggings. I love how easy they are to wear, while still being so versatile and stylish. Throw on an oversized sweater and biker boots with your leggings, and you’re set for a day in class or a cozy day at the office. Pair them with heels and a sequin top, and you can take them out to dinner with the girls. While I already own a fairly extensive collection, I can’t wait to pick up a few new Fall trends this year, such as corduroy or herringbone. Founded more than 35 years ago by two female artists in New York City, HUE has been the most innovative force in fashion legwear for more than three decades. That’s why I’ve teamed up with the brand that has focused on leggings for so many years, to style two looks from my Sunday Cravings this week.

Even though I own lots leggings, most of them are actually black. My mission for this Fall is to add a few new materials and new colors. My sister has recently been sporting a gray pair of leggings and I love the way she has styled them. That’s why these herringbone leggings with leather piping instantly caught my eye.

1.) After falling for hats last year, I am currently on the lookout for a gray or black version. This one just went into my shopping cart …

2.) No closet is complete without a good denim shirt. One of my favorites by J.Crew recently bit the dust, so this one would be a perfect replacement.

3.) I love leather detailing, I love the gray herringbone pattern and I love leggings – any questions?

4.) As you know, I just purchased these sneakers last weekend, so obviously I am looking for lots of ways to wear them. I think a casual cool look with leggings, a bit of denim and a nice hat would be spot on.

I’ve always loved leggings for going out, since I feel like they are the perfect counter part to a fancy top. Plus they are super tight around the ankles, which I love paired with heels. Obviously going out involves sequins in my world!

1.) I’ve seen vests on a lot of people and am really starting to love the look. Add some sequins, like on this one, and I am sold.

2.) As much as I love a good statement piece, I’ve recently been drawn to more delicate items, such as this J.Crew bracelet.

3.) Going out usually involves smokey eyes for me and the “smokey nudes palette” by Bobbi Brown is absolute perfection.

4.) These don’t really need any explanation. I have the Isabel Marant “poppy” heels in suede and wear them all the time, but also love this version.

5.) For dressier occasions, I like materials that are a bit more luxe, such as velvet, faux leather, or corduroy for leggings.

How do you wear your leggings? Casual cool or dress to impress?

In the 8 years that Mike and I have been together, we have never celebrated Valentine’s Day. Why? Certainly not because we don’t love each other, but rather because my birthday has always been the next day – and that probably won’t change anytime soon. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, it is all…

When it comes to Winter, I like to go with the motto of “oh my gaaawd, it’s so fluffy – I’m gonna die!”. Lots of cozy knits, fluffy jackets and oversize scarves are the only way to bare the freezing temperatures. Last year, I made the mistake of waiting until January to finally decide to…
