OUTFIT: Zara velvet blazer embellished | Bikinis & Passports

OUTFIT: a touch of velvet.

Remember those velvet dreams I talked about last week? While I still have a few more velvet-y pieces on my wishlist, I got lucky with this velvet jacket back in September. I’ve worn it in different ways (even with my Dirndl), but my favorite combination is with the red Saint Laurent bag. The embroidery of the jacket includes little red details and I feel like the bag is a perfect match! For last week’s look with the embellished velvet blazer, I layered a summer dress over denim and boots. I think it works – what do you guys think?

While packing for our trip to the Maldives, I honestly didn’t bring any jewelry except for my various PANDORA bracelets, which can be worn in so many different ways. I loved wearing just one of the sparkly bangles with my denim shorts and simple v-neck shirt for lunch by the pool, but I also adore the slightly more elegant feel they get when you pair 3 or 4 like I did for today’s outfit on the island…

  • Is Stress A New Status Symbol?

When did it become cool to be stressed all the time? When did stress develop from something that we tried to avoid at all costs to something that defines success and status? While I would consider myself a very non-judgemental person, I recently found myself being just that. Judgemental. I was at the office on…

Looking at these pictures, it is hard to believe that just minutes later, Kathi and I were soaking wet, running across the street in pouring rain barefoot to save our shoes (and to prevent obvious health hazards such as breaking our legs). 1.
