OUTFIt: winter sun, long oversize coat Tracey | Bikinis & Passports

OUTFIT: winter sun.

If I had to choose between Summer or Winter, I’d always pick the warmer season in a heartbeat. However, I am slowly starting to adapt to the freezing temperatures and feel like I am learning to dress warm again. And when the sun decides to show up as well, Winter isn’t so bad after all. This week, I am totally loving my new oversize wool coat. When I ordered it, I definitely didn’t get the memo that I was adding a navy blue coat to my basket. Fully convinced that it was black, I was a tiny bit disappointed when I first opened the package, but have grown to love the new color addition to my closet. This year I am definitely broadening my coat-horizon with lots of unexpected pieces. Kind of loving it! Also, my beloved Chanel brooch finally got to make an appearance again – it has been collecting dust in the shelf for way too long.

There are a few pieces in my closet, that I absolutely love, but rarely wear because they are so “in your face”. For example my beloved leopard coat. It is a definite eye-catcher and I usually only wear it with an all black ensemble and sneakers, because I feel like there is a super thin…

By now, most of you probably know that I am definitely not an impulse shopper when it comes to designer pieces. I have no problem splurging on something, but when I do spend a month worth of rent on something, I want to make sure that I will get lots of wear out of it. Remember my cost-per-wear theory? Since the Summer, I’ve been dreaming about timeless boots for Winter …

In my head, September always belongs to Summer rather than Autumn. None-the-less, it is a month of transition. The days become shorter again and the nights cooler. Even on the sunniest days, you can feel a hint of Fall in the air. As much as I adore Summer, there is something really exciting about the…

  • OUTFIT: summer prep

Things are finally starting to feel like Summer around here and I cannot wait for our first outdoor girls night of the season! My sister and I spent the entire morning at the garden center yesterday, stocking up on palm trees, lavender and other fun stuff for our outdoor space, and the afternoon was devoted to…

  • OUTFIT: cardigan vs. coat

It is November and instead of snow, we had 20°C today. A few weeks ago, the folk saying was leaning towards an incredibly harsh Winter and lots of snow, but with the way things are currently going, I think we’re in store for a milder season. While I do prefer the surroundings to be covered in white snow for Christmas in the mountains with my parents, I am definitely not complaining about the fact that it currently feels like Spring. I wore …
