TRAVEL: K+K Hotel George London – Review

Time seems to fly these days, and I can’t believe it has already been over 2 weeks since we visited London with the family! I shared a huge travel diary over on The Daily Dose, but wanted to also write about the K+K Hotel George, where we stayed for the weekend in London. Over the past few years, I mainly book my hotels based on recommendations I find on other blogs. My main travel inspo is definitely the lovely Juliane from Style Shiver! I feel like we have the exact same taste when it comes to travelling and I’ve loved every single place that I tried after reading about them on her blog. Hopefully, some of you will find my personal recommendations just as helpful, so here it goes my hotel tip for London:

Location-wise it doesn’t get much more practical than the K+K Hotel George, right in the heart of Earl’s Court. It is literally a 1 minute walk from the metro station. Instead of being stuck in traffic from Heathrow into town, we took the Piccadilly line straight from the airport to Earl’s Court, which took about 30 minutes and cost a mere 2,80 GPB.

And don’t even get me started on the pretty neighborhood and hotel building itself. You have no idea how many photos I had to edit out with those gorgeous black lanterns against the white columns, and those checked tiles … love!!

The rooms are small, which is totally normal for London, but the breakfast buffet is plentiful and has lots of fresh fruit and homemade bircher müsli, which is always my personal criteria for a good breakfast. We loved ending both nights at the hotel bar by the fire place, with a glass of digestive. I don’t drink whisky, but the whisky-lovers in my family were pretty impressed with the selection they had at the hotel.

The staff was helpful and they even offered breakfast to go, for when you leave super early – such a nice touch! All in all, this is probably the best deal you’ll ever get in London and I can’t wait to be back!

Have any of you stayed at the K+K Hotel George? I was actually super surprised, because so many commented on Instagram, that they had stayed there before. I had no idea it was such a well-known hotel, but am even happier that we made such a good decision for our family weekend.

I’ve never been to this hotel but I’ll make sure to book it for my next travel to London ,especially because of this good looking breakfast. It’s one of the best things during a stay for me.
And it’s actually charming that the rooms are always so small, no matter which hotel you go for 🙂
