OUTFIT: a perfect coat

I am personally not a fan of winter wear – I think it is super hard to dress nice, because with temperatures around the freezing point, the only thing on my mind is keeping warm. However, every once in a while, I come across a piece of clothing that really makes me appreciate the cold weather! This was the case with this coat by French Connection, which I found on GIRISSIMA. It is absolut perfection in my eyes. Not only is it a gorgeous off-white (which is such a nice change to all the black winter jackets I have), but it also has amazing details that make it a special piece: the material mix, amazing cut & the off-centered zipper! With a jacket or coat like that, you don’t really need anything else. I went for all black, which makes the beautiful coat stand out even more, including the super adorable Carpena Elda cross body bag. I wore the bag twice already last weekend for going out – it is the perfect companion for a bit of dancing, trust me.

It’s been a little quiet here on the blog, because I have basically been living out of my suitcase for the past 2 weeks. After a weekend spent in Milano, I re-packed my bags for Istanbul last Thursday. We returned Monday night, and yesterday I took off again for an important dinner in Berlin. After…

  • Teddy Talk & Fluffy Jackets

October in Vienna is that awkward time of the year where the mornings are soaked in cold, wet fog and the afternoons are drenched in sunlight and warmth. You are either freezing because you wore too little clothes or sweating because you dressed for the morning chill and forgot about the sun hiding over it….

  • OUTFIT: sweater weather

Usually, by the time February rolls around I already start shopping for Spring stuff, because I keep telling myself that once we make it to March, Winter is over. Currently, however, it’s been fairly freezing here in Vienna, and I can’t even begin to think about airy tops and shorts while I am freezing non-stop. Instead,…

  • OUTFIT: wearing Ioana Ciolacu

During Berlin Fashion Week this year, one of the shows I couldn’t wait to see was the Designer for Tomorrow Award. I think a newcomer award is always a great opportunity to discover new talents, and I was especially curious to see what Ioana Ciolacu (the 2013 winner) had in store, since her mentor during the…

  • OUTFIT: Nica in Milan.

Who’s Nica, you ask? My newest friend in the bag department! Lavender leather, beautiful gold hardware, a variety of strap options (thick, thin, chain – you name it) and the perfect companion for a quick trip to Milan for Fashion Week. After a night in Munich, I hopped on a plane to Milan last Friday to…

Liebe Grüße aus dem Norden, Lali

  4. This is one of my biggest struggles too – looking stylish yet keeping warm in the winter… especially when planning my holidays! I want to look good in photos but not look like a blob of black with my coat, hat, mittens, etc.
But I love that coat! I am really into the collarless coats this winter; they look so simple and timeless.
