HEALTHY LIVING: my 50-minute workout

It’s been a while since I last shared some of my workouts with you, so I wanted to give you a little update. Recently I’ve been running about 5-7km twice per week and have tried to hit the gym 1-2 times per week. Today was super rainy, so I decided to do a bit of interval training on the treadmill and work on my arms and abs. Personally, I feel that I can see the quickest results by combining high intensity interval training with weight training and some low intensity cardio training throughout the week. Here is what today’s 50-minute workout looked like:

– 25 minutes of interval training (treadmill)
– 4 arm exercises with 5kg weights, 2 sets each of 12-15 reps (seen HERE)
–  hamstring curls (seen HERE), 3 sets of 15-20 reps
– 15 min. ab exercises on the mat (leg lifts, side crunches, …)
– plank (seen HERE), 2 sets à 1:30 min. or 2:15 min. in one go
– 5 min. stretching on the mat

Wondering what 25-minute interval training looks like? This is the exact combination I went through today:

– 5 min. warm-up at 8km/h

– 1 min. sprinting at 12km/h
– 90 seconds jogging at 8.5km/h
– 1 min. sprinting at 12km/h
– 90 seconds jogging at 8.5km/h

– 1 min. sprinting at 13km/h
– 90 seconds jogging at 8.5km/h
– 1 min. sprinting at 13km/h
– 90 seconds jogging at 8.5km/h

– 1 min. sprinting at 14km/h
– 90 seconds jogging at 8.5km/h
– 1 min. sprinting at 14km/h
– 90 seconds jogging at 8.5km/h

– 5 min. cool-down walk at 5km/h

Whenever I am in L.A., I think it is my favorite city ever. When I am in New York, I am convinced it is the cooles city in the world. It is hard to compare the two when you ask me, but right now I am 100% in love with New York. Probably because that…

You know those days where you’d prefer to simply stay in your PJs all day and nap on the couch? Last Friday was definitely one of those. I spent all day Thursday in Munich and then my flight back home was super delayed and I ended up falling into my bed some time around 1am….

  • OUTFIT: lace-up boots.

Lace-up boots have been on my wishlist for years now, but for some reason they never really looked good on me and made my legs feel stubbed and even shorter than they are. (Maybe just my imagination talking, but still.) Then, when I spotted these Chloé Harper lace-up boots at the beginning of the season…

Fashion week can be a bit intimidating when it comes to packing and choosing the right outfits. The more I am becoming a part of the whole thing, the more I am starting to feel comfortable. I think it is safe to say that Fashion Weeks are definitely not about dressing up, but more about embracing your personal style.

When it comes to the ultimate basics, there is not much that can compete with the classic combination of a white shirt and blue jeans. And while those two pieces are perfectly casual and made to be worn with your favorite sneakers, they also work in a slightly more dressed up look. Most of the…

  1. Inspiring post, thanks for sharing that 🙂
Right now I’m trying to stick to some routine so I’m trying to workout every two or three days which means I’m going swimming, horseriding, when the weather is nice I’ll include some tennis and I combine it with the Nike Training Club workouts that I really enjoy doing alone at home (and I do all this just because I can’t get into running 😀 )
