I really did! For a quick girls-get-away, 2 of my best friends and I packed our bags and headed to Budapest for a few days. To keep it short and sweet: we LOVED it!!
The city is so beautiful and historic and it didn’t come even an inch short of our expectations, it actually topped them. There is too much to tell and show for just one post so here goes the first gathering of impressions. The next few will be more specific in terms of food, outfits, sightseeing, … so stay tuned.
Right behind our hotel, view of the Szt. István Bazilika.
Our hotel lobby at the Alta Moda Fashion Hotel. We totally loved it, rooms, service, location, … everything was perfect!
Kürtöskalács, typical hungarian pastry. Delicious.
Dinner at Menza Étterem, great recommendation from Gabby.
Hungarian cottage-cheese dumplings. Amazing but huge portion, I couldn’t even finish it and I’m never one to pass on dessert.
This is definitely one of the aspects I love most about blogging; getting the chance to build friendships all over the world with such wonderfully amazing and interesting people I would otherwise probably never meet. If you ever get the chance to go to Budapest (or any place else that Gabby is at) make sure to get in touch and trust all her recommendations. We had the best breakfast and dinner, thanks to Gabby. (And she may have gotten us a little tipsy with some hungarian strawberry-schnapps, my red cheeks are proof.)
Breakfast at Déryné, another great recommendation by Gabby.
The view from Buda Castle: Chain Bridge, Fours Seasons Hotel, Szt. István Bazilika.
Have a wonderful weekend my loves and don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’, Google and Twitter :) I just got to 99 followers on Google and love you for it and all your sweet comments!! Means so much!
