healthy grilled fish.

Ever since getting back from Portoroz, Mike and I have been missing the amazing fresh fish we ate during our short trip there. Last night we spotted trout at the grocery store and decided to satisfy the craving. I am no expert when it comes to cooking fish, but somehow the meal turned out pretty decent and I wanted to share it with you. Much easier than you’d expect :)

For 2 people you’ll need …

– 2 trouts (we got the kind that is already cleaned out)

– some fresh parsley, garlic, red onion & carrots

– a bit of butter & olive oil

– salt, pepper & lemon herbs (optional)

– aluminum foil

Start by washing the fish, then making 2 cuts on each side. Then stuff the inside of the fish and the cuts with a bit of butter, parsley & garlic. Season with salt and pepper, and throw the veggies with some olive oil on the side. Wrap in aluminum foil and bbq. We had it on the grill for about 8 – 10 minutes, turning it every 2 minutes.

As a side I made potatos and carrots with a bit of salt and parsley for Mike. And I was also craving salad so I made a mixed salad with avocado and feta cheese. Of course a glass of chilled white wine works great with the fish :)

  3. I don’t really like trout, but that is a great recipe that I can try with other fish as well =D I also do this with salmon, only I never tried it with the butter =D

I cook fish a lot, but I have never thought about stuffing it! I’ll have to try that. The potatoes and salad look amazing, too.

    Lieben Gruss,
