free people.

I’m not sure if you guys know the brand Free People but I love their bohemian/vintage inspired clothing! So delicate, girly and cute! I have some cardigans and sweaters from when I used to live in California but totally forgot about the brand until recently. As a little early birthday treat  for myself, I ordered 3 things that are just too perfect to pass up. I can’t wait for the mailman to deliver the package!!
looove how delicate and pretty this skirt is! and I think the off-white is perfect for summery days!
I thought this would go really well with a high-waisted skirt or casually with a pair of jean shorts. love the lace inset on the back!!
definitely my favorite piece of the order. this little cross-body bag seems more than perfect for adding some sparkle to a casual outfit.
Free People does ship internationally BUT you have to carry all customs and duties. I did a little research before ordering and I guess you’re allowed a 150€ value without paying customs, as of May 2008. Make sure you don’t forget shipping tho, since it counts as part of the 150€.
I really don’t feel the need to justify everything I buy BUT I wanted to clear something up:
A few posts ago an anonymous person commented on my spending habits and asked if I did anything but shop. Yess, I am a girl and yes, I love to shop! However, I am very much aware of the fact that I am a student and don’t have unlimited funds. My parents are kind enough to take care of my apartment and money for food but anything other than that is all paid for by me. I have worked ever since I graduated high school (sometimes more, sometimes less) and I can honestly say that I would never spend more than I can actually afford. Clothes are definitely NOT worth being in debt for.
As much as I appreciate all (positive and negative!!) feedback through the comments, I just wish the negative ones weren’t always anonymous. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion … but why wont you put your name under it?
On a different note: it’s almost the weekend, YAYY!! My parents are coming into town and I can’t wait to spend some quality-time with them!!

no need to justify your spending habits. You're the only one who knows your finances so that anonymous person is just being negative. I'm the same way- I work 2 jobs and save a ton of money, but then I also save up to buy things I really want. SO moral: keep on shopping. I love your purchases!

  3. Miyan says:

hey there! that's silly that someone under the title of "anonymous" would critisize your spending habits, they do not know your financial situation- only you do!! anyways, i love reading your blog and seeing what you purchase and how you spend your time. you chose amazing items and cant wait till you get them, the fun is when the package arrives =)

your style is really cute. i'm new to your blog but love what you're posting. where are you studying then if you have to pay for shipping as i'm from the uk and would really like to get some of that stuff.

LOVE the buys! That bag is so cute!! I really need some stuff from Free People…I always want it but its so expensive!

And yes…I hate when people leave negative comments anonymously, at least be brave enough to say your name so I can reply to you…haha…whatever they aren't worth it

After seeing these pics I'm kinda wishing we had Free People in Australia! And Zara, and H and M, and Gap… the list goes on! lol

As for the anonymous comment; your income and spending habits are your business alone. Their mother obviously never taught them good manners, tsk tsk…

Keep up the great blog. Your is one of the only ones I read regularly.

Free People is lovely! I am adoring that skirt and the blouse you purchased. Definitely good buys that you will get a lot of use out of.

Again, don't let the anonymous commenter get to you. It is totally your business what you choose to spend money on.

LOVE the skirt and top, everyday pieces with fun detailing!
Just remember, when someone leaves a negative comment it shows they had nothing better to do with their day than be negative. I feel bad for people like that, they don't know how to be happy for other people and don't see the good things in life.
I love your blog and enjoying seeing what you buy and how you wear it, you have wonderful taste :)
