for the home.

When I was younger my room used to be the messiest place in the house (although my siblings were close runners up with their rooms) and I know I drove my mom nuts on a regular basis by not picking up after myself. Weirdly, however, that all changed the instant I moved out. I have become overly cleanly ever since living on my own and I can’t stand it when our apartment is messy. I also find myself spending money on things like fresh flowers, new pillows and scented candles, which I would have never imagined as a teenager. Especially now that I work fulltime I love coming home to our cozy apartment and every time I look at the pretty flowers on our dining table or I light my favorite candles it puts a smile on my face. I guess you could call it growing up or becoming mature :)

Anyhow, what I am trying to get at are my new items for the home that will hopefully arrive some time soon:

Ich weiß genau was du meinst.

    Hey Vicky,

wonderful items you chose! I totally understand what you mean- there’s nothing better than coming home to an amazingly comfy apartment, full of stuff that displays one’s personality. I adore this feeling, too. And I think it is super important having a place you feel 100% happy and comfortable!
Would you mind me asking where you ordered the pillows? Love the pastel blue, just the right amount to add a little splash of colour to a living room!
    Happy almost-weekend,
    xx Nina

      Hi Nina,

the pillows are from a brand called “Jiti Bedding” but I can’t seem to find their stuff online … at least not the cute stuff. I ordered via westwing.de which is a pretty cool site for interior shopping, kind of like brands4friends :) But the sale already ended …

Thank you for your reply Vicky! I’ll check that out, always happy for little shopping hints like these :) xo

  4. Where did you find the jewelry holder? I’ve been on the lookout for something like that!

  5. Simone says:

I know what you mean. Coming home to nice place feels really good! I am still so happy about my drapes I bought month ago- it still makes me smile looking at them :)
I never checked out Westwing.de before- looks like I missed out on something!

    Kisses,
    Simone

I know exactly what you mean. I’ve become such a clean person since I moved out, my mom still can’t believe it. And you know what they say: You’re really grown up when you start spending your money on interieur ;)

  7. Sarah says:

Those pillows are absolutely gorgeous, such a lovely pattern.
I’m the same as you.. my bedroom at home is (sometimes!) messy, but in my own place I’m such a near freak!

I was the same exact way! My room was a disaster zone. Now that I have my own plave- CLEAN FREAK! My bedroom is teeny tiny, with white brick walls, so I have just enough room for my bed and dresser, but everything is white with gold frames on the wall, and a green glass lamp. I like to keep it mostly white to make it feel cozy but not too small, and with hanging white lights, it feels like a fairy den :) If I leave anything on the floor it takes up 1/2 the space!

  12. Jenny says:

I love all of these colors, so pretty! I really want that vase!

  13. Huda says:

same here, it has more to do with living in someone else’s home (albeit our parents) and them cleaning after us even when they complain about our messy room. I love decorating and cleaning my little home.

The color, patterns and interior design of these rooms are gorgeous, very inspiring.

I agree on the expensive cushion issue. I would keep buying them from the discounter, but then it would not match my overall interior standards. For example I was shocked when I looked at kisseria.de for some special cushions and they came like 60 bugs per cushion.
they have to find a solution for that. ;)
