FOR THE HOME: our bar tray

While searching for decor inspiration for our new apartment over the past few months, I caught myself pinning bar carts over and over again. (You can follow me on Pinterest HERE). So after the main items like our sofa, bed, closet, … were taken care of I had some time to focus on the smaller things and details. Now, 6 months later I am finally happy with our bar tray.

Mike and my favorite drinks are mostly made with vodka and gin, so those are usually in stock. About a month ago I finally found those amazing striped straws via Etsy. I think they instantly make any drink look more fun and are so great to have on hand for girl’s nights or parties (ie. NYE).

For Christmas I got the amazing cocktail shaker (with the brown leather) from my sister, along with a cocktail recipe book. So over the next few weeks I have made it a mission to try at least one new cocktail every weekend! Tonight the Salty Basil Dog is on the menu :) And below you’ll find the recipe for one of my current favorites – I have no idea what it is called, my brother’s girlfriend always makes it!

Haha, musst du dann berichten wie der Drink heute geworden ist! Ich habe auch einen Cocktail Shaker und finde es schon toll einen im Haus zu haben, deiner ist sehr hübsch! Welches Vocktail Rezepte Buch hast du denn bekommen?

What a great set-up! I love everything about it, up to the very last detail :) You truly are a genius decorator :) I remember you writing you bf wasn’t thrilled about the bar idea, how does he like it now? I bet he’s changed his mind heh!
May I ask you where you got the skull bottle from? I absolutely and completely NEED one of those in my life! Thanks in advance and have a great weekend :)

yess, I did write that back in the summer – so funny that you still remember. He’s gotten used to the idea over the past few months & now actually likes it :)

I absolutely only ever remember such little details, but forget about important stuff haha. Thanks for replying :)
Without wanting to bother you too much, but could I ask you about the skull bottle? Is it perhaps the Crystal Head Vodka? I’ve been looking for something like that forever but couldn’t find it anywhere in Vienna. I would really appreciate it if you could maybe help me out :)
        Thanks a lot!

So in love with that bar tray! Not sure it’s available in the US, but if it is I must have it. Looking good.

  4. Vanessa says:

Sieht toll aus! Schöner Stil und nicht zu überladen! Viele liebe Grüße und alles Gute für 2013!

  5. Ich finde eine kleine Bar auch immer ansprechend. Zum Einen sieht ein solches Arrangement sehr schön aus und man hat seine Lieblingsgetränke immer griffbereit auch wenn es ganz spontan etwas zum Anstoßen gibt. :-)

  6. I love how it turned out!! I think I remember your boyfriend not being very excited with this idea haha guess he liked it after all =D

  7. Lisa says:
