FOR THE HOME: new dining area

FOR THE HOME: new dining area

Our new dining area is finally coming together (see the old version HERE) and I couldn’t be happier with the way everything has turned out. From the very beginning, my vision was to have something light and airy, that would make the space seem bigger than it actually is. Naturally, this did not work very well with our old black dining table and black leather chairs. While I seriously adore our old chairs (my parents purchased them just after their marriage wedding), I was ready for something new! So after lots of going back & forth, we finally decided on 6 of the Louis Ghost Chairs by Philippe Starck, paired with an oval glossy white dining table from Interio, called Paloma. I also put up white curtains by the window, and now it really does feel bright and airy! There’s just one thing left to do: I have to re-adjust the lamp, because with the new dining table it is no longer centered and it bugs the s*** out of me. I am such a freak when it comes to having things in line, perfectly horizontal or centered! But luckily that can easily be fixed 🙂

    Traumhaft schön!

Wow!

LOVE this space. So light and bright just like I love. I have been dying to get some ghost chairs to go with my more traditional white table.

I like the new table and chairs!! It does make the room lighter and probably also makes it look bigger =D I also like doing the same, making places look bigger and brighter, makes everything feel more cozy!

Looks great and I totally get your point with the lamp and that it MUST be centred. I guess you can’t move the table instead of the lamp? 🙂

    Hallo Vicky,

I am fawning all over this chair! I expected them to be so uncomfortable but I finally got the chance to sit in one and it isn’t and I just love it!
