New Chanel slingback shoes are one way to do Mondays – and all of a sudden Mondays become pretty awesome. After finally deciding to return the floral Gucci bag, I stopped by Chanel on my way to the grocery store after a doctor’s appointment today. Little did I know that the last pair of tweed and velvet slingbacks in my size were waiting for me … of course I couldn’t go home without them! In all honesty, I have been on the fence about these shoes for months. I love seeing them on others but simply felt like the beige and black combination was too much “madame” for my personal style. Then, a few weeks back I spotted the gray and black version for the first time and fell in love. I think they’ll be amazing paired with distressed denim and a leather jacket, or black skinny jeans and a military-style jacket. Or even a bomber jacket (if I owned one, that is). Anyhow, I guess returning the bag was good karma for my Chanel love story, so I have one less bag to call mine but a new pair of shoes to drool over. Happy end – happy Monday!
