Even without traveling, I am usually well aware of how blessed I am to call a beautiful city like Vienna my home. There is so much I love about it, including the historical architecture, the famous café culture and that special feeling in Spring when you can start hanging out by the Danube Canal again. After 8 days in tropical paradise and the desert, it’s good to come home to a city that feels familiar but still never ceases to impress me….
When it comes to shopping, I rarely shop offline anymore. It’s not that I don’t like going into stores and boutiques, but much more the fact that I enjoy the freedom shopping online gives me. I can shop when- and wherever I want. I can virtually travel around the world to thousands of sellers and click my way through far more items than I could ever sift through in an actual shop….

On Monday, Kathi and I finally had a chance to try Slow Tacos by the Danube Canal for the first time. So good! Since I had spent most of the day cleaning the apartment and decluttering our kitchen, I wasn’t really in the mood to get dressed-up for going out. Luckily, Slow Tacos is super laid back and casual, so I wore the next best thing to pajamas, aka my beloved palazzo pants….
Sometimes, it amazes me how great of a city Vienna truly is. Not only is it a beautiful place to call home (I adore living here), but also a worldly city that hosts some amazing, international events. Last weekend, the famous Lifeball – one of the most amazing charity events out there – was celebrated, and this week we are getting ready for the Eurovision Song Contest.
