I never really expected that many questions, but I had so much fun answering them all. I decided to split the answers up into 2 posts, the second half will follow next week. I am having serious problems right now because Sophie isn’t in Vienna and I am not really good at the whole self-timer thing just yet. Thursday, Soph and I will be reunited so hopefully many outfit posts to follow, please bare with me a little longer. For now, here are the answers :)
What blush/bronzer do you use?
→ During the summer I usually just stick to bronzer. Its called „egypt-wonder“ by Tana Cosmetics. It’s a pretty old-school brand but I am totally in love with it and it lasts a lifetime!! I’ve had it for about 3 years (I know I should probably replace it every once in a while) and still not even half is gone! For the winter I mostly use blush, I think it looks more natural than bronzer when I am white as the snow :) I use „plum foolery“ sheer tone shimmer blush by M.A.C., such a sucker for M.A.C. At the moment I am very much in love with the Skinfinish by M.A.C. from the mineralize collection, doesn’t feel or look caked on and totally makes my skin look smooth.
Where do you live/go to school?
→ Currently I live in a beautiful apartment in Vienna with my boyfriend and go to school there. I am attending the University of Vienna for communications and PR and the Business School of Vienna for my business major. I will hopefully be graduating next summer.
What other places have you lived?
→ I was born in Stuttgart, Germany. We then moved twice in the area and then onto Bavaria. From Bavaria I moved to Laguna Niguel, California when I was 10 and on to Salzburg, Austria when I was 15. I lived there for 3 years and graduated high school. After my graduation I took a year off and then moved to Vienna to go to college, which is where I am currently at :)
What camera do you use?
→ My camera is a Canon and I couldn’t be happier with it. I actually haven’t had it for very long, just got it over easter-break but I think the quality is amazing! The exact model is a EOS 550D (in America it’s called the Rebel t2i) with an 18-135mm lens.
What products do you use on your hair?
→ To be completely honest I am not a huge fan of too product in my hair. You will probably never see me use hairspray, foam, wax, gel, … But I do really care about my hair. I make sure I go to a good hairdresser, the money is worth it to me every couple of months, and I use Kérastase shampoo and conditioner. Simply the best ever!! However, I am a firm believer that you have to figure out whatever works best for you, everyone has different hair and prefers it a different way.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
→ I am not one to really plan too far ahead. I would love to have a good job, not so much in the sense of status or salary (which of course I wouldn’t mind either) but more as far as my happiness goes. My ultimate goal is to find something I love doing every single day with new challenges and experiences. If I would have to pick and chose right now, I would definitely want to work in the fashion industry, maybe in connection with a magazine.
Why did you start blogging?
→ This is actually a toughy for me. I thought about it for a while and am not 100% sure why. I had been reading blogs for some time before starting my own and felt so inspired by them. Blogs are an amazing way to share thoughts and inspirations with others from all over the world and that to me is the best part about blogging.
Where is your favorite place you have traveled to and why?
→ There really is something I love about every place I have traveled but for some reason I really really adored Rome. I have been there twice and loved it both times. The food, the people, the mentality of the italians, the beautiful historic buildings and sights,…. simply breath-taking. I would go back in a heartbeat. Another place that I can’t get enough of is Laguna Beach, probably for a different reason tho. Since we used to live there I still have some of my best friends there and miss them so much. We go back every year and the second I step out of the airplane at LAX my heart feels a little lighter and happier.
What’s your heritage background?
→ I am 100% born and bread German.
Whats your biggest splurge?
→ Definitely traveling. I am now at an age where I can’t really expect my parents to pay for whatever trips I want to take, so those are the things I splurge on. This summer I am going on a month long trip with my best friend to 4 different places in the US, it will be fabulous and we are planning on enjoying ever second of it. I will have a detailed post about it coming up next week, so stay tuned.
If you have any more questions, feel free to continue asking until next Monday for part 2
Update: Since some of you asked about the tunic, I thought I would add a picture in which you can see the pretty details a little better. It was such a steal from Zara, on sale for about 40€, I think.
The Boyfriend took me out to a surprise dinner today, he wouldn’t tell me were he was taking me and so I was totally unsure of what to wear. Since I already had the tunic on, I paired it with my black Cheap Monday jeans, black heels and a black coat (due to rain and unbearable temperatures for June). Please excuse the hair, this was just a quick snapshot after we got home and post walking in the rain. YUCK!!
PS. He took me here, I think this will be our new favorite place!! We both had the carpaccio as a starter, I then had the grilled salmon with sesame-asperagus and for dessert the white and dark chocolate mouse with strawberry sauce, simply to die for!!
