Today is a very special day – my first day as a real working girl ♥ Some of you may have seen my “interview” outfits on Instagram towards the end of January. After 2 rounds of interviews I got the job I wanted and am starting today. I couldn’t be happier!! I know it will take some getting used to my new daily routine (aka getting up at 7am every day) but I am also super excited for what is ahead. Since I know some of you will be asking what the job is: I’ll be working in e-commerce marketing for a rather big fashion retailer.

And then there is a 2nd reason why today is a special day … I finally ordered my first designer bag – the rocco bag by Alexander Wang. I have been wanting this bag for years and thought about buying it for the first time back in 2010 when I was in NYC. But to be honest with you, it just felt too weird buying a bag that could pay for a month’s rent while my dad was the one actually paying my rent. That’s why it feels SO much more amazing to be paying for all of my own things (starting today) and being able to treat myself to something I have wanted for a really long time. I wont have the bag for another few weeks because my dad is actually getting it in New York (the one I wanted was sold out in all of Europe) for me, but can you guess what color and hardware combination I got?

viel erfolg in deinem job, das hört sich gut an! eine paar posts über arbeits-outfits fände ich sehr schön – du musst da ja hoffentlich nicht immer nur kostüm tragen, oder?
die tasche ist eine gute wahl und dass du sie dir von deinem eigenen geld kaufen wolltest kann ich gut verstehen, das gefühl ist einfach viel besser als wenn man etwas teures einfach so kauft, obwohl man auf der anderen Seite finanziell noch von den eltern abhängig ist. Mir würde es ganz genauso gehen wie dir!

Congrats to your job…you will get used to the daily routine…although it might take a while getting used to not having breakfast and coffee meetings with your friends during the week…reallly miss that…however after work it is!!I guess it’s the grey-ish one, since I’m trying to get that bag as well and it’s sold out here…;)Have a great first day!!!!

Und zur Tasche: Die schwarze Wang mit Roségold-Hardware war schon sehr lange Zeit so etwas wie ein “Ziel in der Zukunft” für mich .. und ich habe sie extrem überraschend zu Weihnachten bekommen, was das absolut beste Geschenk überhaupt war! Ich muss sagen, sie ist einfach nur der Wahnsinn! Ich würde sie für keine Louis Vuitton der Welt eintauschen ;-)
